We have had a LOT of sick kids this week. Be sure to stock up on vitamin C and remind your child to wash his/her hands after coughing or using a tissue.
I had a few students earn a lunch with me and a special present from the treasure chest for filling their behavior chart!
Home Activity:
Play "Make Ten!" Put out your hand with five fingers sticking up. Ask your child to stick up the number of fingers needed to make ten in all. (Your child should stick up five fingers ). Repeat using numbers 0-10!
We tied our writing & science targets together again and
created a new book based on the four needs of animals: air, water, shelter, and food. We read nonfiction stories about animals needs then compared the needs of animals with plants.
Students had fun shopping for their FREE book @the Book Fair!
Timber Creek is in need of some amazing dads to spend a day at our school. Our volunteers spend time visiting each grade level. Teachers have activities ready and dads can play games, work on flash cards, or read with 1-4 students at a time. |
