Students had a great time researching & writing about a topic on PebbleGo using their chromebooks. Students continue to work on punctuation, capitalization, spacing, spelling words phonetically, & making sure their sentences make sense in their daily writing block. Students spend 25 minutes each day working on goals during a block of time called Jaguar Time. They may be practicing handwriting, writing numbers to 100, orally counting to 100, reading popcorn words, etc. I work with 1-6 students at my table on targets.

During Pathways, we focused on short vowel sounds. Students had a great time trying to figure out what was in the mystery box! Items had to begin with the letter of the day.
During our math block, we continued working on composing and decomposing numbers less than or equal to 10 and also teen numbers. We made bracelets on Friday to review all the different ways to make a number less than 10.
During writing, we read a new story each day and wrote about a specific theme.
Kindergarten Round-up is Wednesday, March 30 at 2 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Please encourage friends & family members who are parents of children who will be five-years-old before Aug. 1, 2016 to attend!
We had a great turn out for the Grandparents breakfast!
During large group pathways, students find partners with pictures that start with the same sound as their card. This week we had two guest readers! They read a Dr. Seuss book in celebration of his birthday.
