Students play "I have, Who has" with a new twist: they must say their letter, letter sound, and something that starts with that sound! Students had fun making their own Rhyming Monster! They had to listen to sentences such as "When you draw a monster, it is said, you always begin with his _____!" They draw the parts!

Students continue to work on writing skills each day.
While I meet with reading groups, students work with a partner in centers.
We started our science unit on plants. We read stories, researched online, and even planted our own vegetables and flowers in our new outdoor classroom garden!
Students continue working daily on specific targets during jag time.
In math, we focused on measurement. Students are comparing their height to friends and objects in the classroom.
We wrapped up our composing and decomposing teen numbers target. Students have done a great job building an understanding of ones and tens!
The students' writing has blossomed so much this quarter! This week, we wrote about our spring break, something we couldn't wait for, our clothing, and a special visit from some ducks & chicks!
