Six students filled their behavior charts these past few weeks. They got a gift from the treasure chest & had lunch with us!
This week in math, Miss Jefferies has been teaching decomposing and composing numbers less than or equal to 10. We have been working hard to understand what different parts equal a whole. We also had another visit from Zero the Hero for the 110th day and got capes!
In pathways this week, we have been learning the letter Ll. We have continued our work with the setting and the different components of a story. Also, we have started practicing visualizing what we are hearing and reading.
Social Studies/Reader's & Writer's Workshop It has been an exciting week during our social studies time learning about community helpers. This week, we learned about police officers and dentists. We have also been using a map to learn directions and where those community helpers are located at in Raymore, MO. For the next few weeks, we will be creating a community helpers book that will hold the information we learned during social studies and reader's workshop. We now have a check list that we use when we get done writing to check our capitalization, spacing and punctuation. |
